Use this tool to estimate how much wax and fragrance oil you need for container candles. To find the wax weight from a container's volume, convert the container volume (in cubic inches) to fluid ounces and multiply by the wax density (≈0.86 oz per fluid oz). If you don't know the volume, fill your jar with water, weigh it, and multiply the water weight by 0.86 to convert to wax weight. Once you have the total mixture weight, divide by (1 + fragrance load) to get the wax weight and subtract to find the fragrance oil weight.
