Bear Molds

Silicone bear molds for casting in resin, plaster or candle wax - relief bears, mini stitched bears, rose heart bears, a birthday candle holder kit and cartoon bear candle jar sets. Bears are one of the most reliable sellers in cast decor: they read as a gift, a nursery piece and a keepsake all at once, which gives them a much wider buyer than most animal shapes.

Relief bears vs. 3D bears

The relief and embossed bear molds are open-face - detailed front, flat back - which makes them quick to cast and well suited to ornaments, pendants and anything mounted flat. The 3D bear molds produce a standalone figure that stands on a shelf. The 3D forms take longer to cure and demold but carry a much higher price.

Ears and snouts

Bear ears are small, round and set proud of the head, which makes them the first place air gets trapped and the first place a cast breaks. Tap the mold after filling to bring bubbles up out of the ears, and always demold by peeling the silicone back from the base rather than lifting the bear by its head.
